Buster Brown's Education
When Buster Brown’s mother decides to advertise for a tutor, Buster, Mary Jane and faithful Tige do all they can to dissuade the applicants, but Herr Professor von Blitzen takes command of the situation.
Yano is a small delivery boy for his uncle, who keeps a curio shop in Chinatown. His loves are Tama, his sweetheart, and Bengi, his dog. Bengi is seized by dog catchers, but is rescued by Letty Stanford, for which Yano promises his fealty. Later Letty is kidnapped by Germans because of her war activities, and it is Yano who goes to her rescue and gets her free in spite of his diminutive size. The Little Japanese has paid his debt.

Mr. Bretton's wife decides she would rather pursue an opera career, so they separate, leaving him to raise their young daughter Daphne (Mildred Harris). She is expelled from boarding school after Richard Wiltoner is found in her room under innocent circumstances. Her father sends her to the Adirondacks, where she meets a rogue and soon elopes with him. When her father discovers that he is a bigamist, he has their marriage annulled. Happily, Mrs. Bretton returns to her husband and Daphne and Richard fall in love and marry.

Vera Souroff, a young Russian girl, is kidnapped off the street and raped by one of three officers of the Czar's guard. The crime is brought to the attention of the Czar, but Vera cannot tell which of the three officers is the guilty man. The Czar orders Count Nicho, the eldest of the three, to marry the girl, turns over the trio’s fortunes to her and imprisons the men. When the revolution breaks out, at the risk of her own life, Vera saves her husband knowing he holds the key to the identity of her attacker.

After years of service, the Captain of the Setuckit Life Saving Station on Cape Cod retires, Calvin Homer, the second in command, Calvin Homer expects to be promoted; but the appointment goes instead to Bartlett, a religious fanatic who has been the recipient of a good deal of favorable newspaper publicity. Calvin hands in his resignation.

He figures he can take care of the uncle, and he does, but not until he has been forced to masquerade as a woman, and have half the men at a fashionable resort fall in love with him.

Knowing that Edith's family are in need of a butler, Tom proposes to Jack that he apply for the job, just for a lark. Jack does, and just to see him "buttle" is a picnic. He gets in wrong with everybody but Edith's father, who discovers that "Wilson," their former butler, is young Mr. Fuller, one of the richest bachelors in town. Edith and Jack run to each other's arms.

Ray and Roy Cheep are both in love with the charming manicurist, but each is unaware of his brother's "affairs." The lady, however, encourages both of them. The two boys are hard up, but live in hopes of their rich uncle loosening up with a substantial allowance. Finally the uncle tells them that he will give $1,000 to the one who marries first. They each go off for a license and a minister, but when they arrive at Miss Charmer's house they find her about to go out with uncle. The next day then each receive a check for $1,000, which helps to console them for the loss of the charming lady.
