Daryl Hall and John Oates kept a diverse crowd happy, updating their sound just enough to make hits from the '70s and '80s feel fresh in front of a sing-along crowd at New Orleans Jazz Fest on May 5, 2013. The "rock-and-soul" duo from Philadelphia added funk, rhythm-and-blues and gospel touches to chart-toppers, such as "Maneater," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)," and "You Make My Dreams Come True."

The annual New Year’s Eve Concert is one of the highlights in the calendar of every classical music fan in Berlin and beyond. On New Year‘s Eve, the Berliner Philharmoniker invite an exceptional soloist for a festive gala. Together, the musicians bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new. The 2009 concert was conducted by Simon Rattle and featured Lang Lang (piano). On the programme: Sergej Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18, Frédéric Chopin: Etude, Op. 25, No. 1, Pyotr Tchaikovsky: “The Nutcracker”, op. 71.

For the first time, these four masterful musicians come together to form a jazz group most people would never expect to see happen. Taking their collaborations around the world, they toured Canada, Europe, Japan, and the United States, performing concerts and festivals to sold out audiences and rave reviews. On June 23, 1990, this extraordinary group performed two concerts at the Mellon Jazz Festival at the Philadelphia Academy of music. Both shows were filmed and have been carefully edited to create a technically flawless video of a truly "once in a lifetime" event. All of the songs were selected with great care, as might be expected from a band of this caliber.
