In the midst of the Hundred Years War, the young King Henry V of England embarks on the conquest of France in 1415.
In 8th century Scandinavia, the Danish kingdoms are under threat from Charlemagne, King of the Franks. In a desperate attempt to strengthen their position, Sigfred, King of the Danes, marries his eldest son off to the daughter of a wealthy Norwegian family. However, when his other son falls in love with the same woman their relationship is put to the ultimate test. It is up to Godfred, the youngest of the Sigfred-sons to bring his divided family together and defend their viking way of life.. if he can.
