Welcome to My Life is a glimpse into a day in the life of Douglas, aka T-Kesh, a Monster-American teenager. He’s doing his best to fit in, and make it through high school. On the inside he’s just like other humans, but there’s no hiding when you are literally a monster on the outside. In this mockumentary short, we see how even day-to-day life can be hard when you’re so very much not like the others.

The plot concerns a yeti who makes a pact with the devil to kidnap the most beautiful girl in the world. This turns out to be the Princess Lissi, who is clearly the Austrian Princess and later Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria, and much of the film is taken up with subplots related to the court and to the romantic relationship between Elisabeth and her husband. The film is thus a comic parody of the Sissi films.
This joyful short animation features a dancing hen that transforms into an egg. The film was made without a camera by Norman McLaren, who drew directly onto 35 mm movie stock with ordinary pen and ink. Colour was added optically.
