Uncontrollable Love
A young Shu Nian is a lonely kid who is living in an orphanage, where he hopes to find a good family that loves him. This is when Xie Yan, the son of a real estate magnate, adopts him. He worked as a page boy for him until Xie Yan went abroad to study. Six years later, Xie Yan returns home when he is 25 years old and is reunited with Shu Nian. Shu's secret crush on Xie Yan is revealed and Chaos occurs. Xie not being able to handle the situation due to his tendency of homophobia, sents Shu away from his sight. Soon after, Xie Yan realizes that Shu Nian is the only one who can help stabilize his temperament and gradually realizes his true feelings for Shu. However, many obstacles will appear between them.

This 1985 Spanish film reveals one of the many terrible aspects of 16th century Spain, still plagued by the radical Christian Inquisition, one of a plethora of difficulties Spaniards faced at the time. Spanish super star Carmen Maura plays a nun who agrees to a selfless scam, a fake stigmata, only to avoid separation from her lover, another nun. It's a serious and passionate work, highlighting the theme of outspoken women-against-repression, seen in other good gay and lesbian films. This is not a lesbian "Nun sense" or another "Dark Habits" (by Almodovar, which also starred Carmen Maura, and also set in a Spanish convent, with some lesbian nuns). Perhaps, best of all, 'Extramuros' is realistic and frank. It isn't shy about its characters' sexuality. Their sexuality, and the film as a whole are genuine.

He wants to escape the harshness and injustice of the world and devote himself to the service of God in the quiet seclusion of a monastery. He knows that her father would never allow her to marry him. But the devil dressed in a monk's habit and under the name Viktorin (Andrzej Kopiczynski) intervenes in Franziskus's destiny and attempts to lead him astray. To do so he first uses the diabolical elixirs kept at the monastery as a rare relic. When the young monk gets expelled from the monastery, Viktorin prepares another trap with the help of Aurelie's stepmother Euphemie (Milena Dvorská).
